We have finished another week in Kindergarten! I can't believe how quickly this year is coming to an end! We will continue our sight word work and focus a lot on our writing over the next few weeks. Today students took their Week 3 popcorn word test and next week's list will be in your child's folder tonight. Today we started a new chapter in our math books which covers 3-D shapes! We made some flashcards to help us with our new vocabulary and also learned a new poem about 3D shapes. We will be learning about cones, cylinders, spheres, prisms, and cubes over the next few lessons.
There is no math homework tonight. We are getting excited for our upcoming field trip! Today we wrote in our journals about what we think we might see when we visit Rainbow Ranch. We have a lot of farm animal books, and activities coming up. Tomorrow we will be testing over this week's popcorn words- don't forget to review tonight. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO TURN IN FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS AND PAYMENTS. Please let me know if you have any questions. Extra permissions slips were sent home yesterday. We finished up our chapter today and will review on Monday & Tuesday before taking our test next Wednesday. *we completed today's homework together in class, so there is no math homework tonight* We also learned more about Earth Day today!
